What is it you need help with right now?
If you live in Spain or France, I can also help you understand your blood results and medical notes, having lived in both countries myself.
Kidney disease, stones and gout
Chronic Kidney Disease
I can offer you dietary support no matter what stage your kidney function has reached. Perhaps you’re at an early disease stage and would like advice on how to minimise further deterioration? Or, is your kidney disease at a later stage, requiring adjustments to your diet to keep you safe and well-nourished? Or are you simply confused about all the information available online? Do you really need to limit your potassium intake? What is renal bone disease? Do you need to drink less fluid? I’d be delighted to answer your questions.
Kidney stones can be agonising and our genes play a major role. That said, we can reduce our risk of developing them with some adjustments to our diet and lifestyle.
Another disablingly painful condition.
Let’s significantly reduce the odds of a flare up with some dietary and lifestyle changes.
Type 2 Diabetes
I will help you understand what is going on in your body and guide you towards a solution that will keep your tastebuds satisfied and those blood glucose levels in check.
If you have a Freestyle Libre but struggle to interpret all the data? I can help with that too.
If you already have a diabetes team which includes a dietitian looking after you, then great. If not, let me help you understand what is happening in your body and how dietary and lifestyle changes can help manage the effects.
(For your safety, I wouldn’t be able to advise you if you have been prescribed insulin or certain oral medications such as gliclazide, since both could result in low blood glucose levels and hence diabetic nurse or consultant input would be required.)
Irritable Bowel Syndrome
Irritable Bowel Syndrome
Diagnosed with IBS and not sure where to start? Let’s take a systematic approach to identify and eliminate the triggers of your discomfort, whether they be diet or lifestyle. Equally importantly, let’s ensure that you’re not excluding foods unnecessarily. That would be a crime!
Fatty Liver Disease
Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease
If you’ve been told that you have a fatty liver then you’re most certainly not alone. In much of Europe and the USA, roughly 1 in 4 of us has a fatty liver. In itself, a slightly fattier liver may pose few problems.
The important thing is to avoid it progressing and developing into potentially more serious conditions. This is what we can work on together.
Is your body telling you that it’s time to focus on supporting it, rather than fighting it, through these changes? Let’s work together to smooth the way.
I really appreciated the time and thought you put in to helping me, and how you were keen to target the information to me personally and address my concerns directly.
I really liked your thoroughness – taking me through each of the issues in turn and talking through all the possible options.
You explain things in a simple way that’s easy to understand.
It felt collaborative – as though we were exploring and testing out the different options together.
I’ve discovered new foods because of you!

I would be happy to discuss:
- A fee structure that would suit your budget
- Joint sessions with family members or friends if suitable for the condition being discussed e.g. an informal Type 2 Diabetes education session
- A skill swap
I’m sure we can come to an arrangement that will suit both of us.
